The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company level established for intervention encounters a significant influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to empower the servicing of all prospects and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
